Published in 1988 by then publisher Harper & Row, the book was re-issued in 1992 by Fortress Press. To be re-issued with a new introduction by University of Scranton Press, Fall 2004. This book was the first theology book from the perspective of Latinas/Hispanic Women in the USA. It is a classic that early on assured women's religious understandings and practices as central to all Hispanic/Latino Theology.

Published by Fortress Press, originally in 1993, this book contains the most complete exposition of Mujerista Theology's method which recognizes and insists on the fact that grass root Latinas/Hispanic Women are admirably capable of explaining their own religious understandings.
