Welcome to my website.
I
am a current employee of Drew University, as well as
a graduate of Drew's College of Liberal Arts. I work
in
technology, and have too many hobbies to list (or spend
time on, for that matter). My contact information can all
be found to the right, and anything that I can think
of and feel like putting in writing will be scattered
across the rest of these pages. Have fun!
In the spotlight:
I will be directing the play Time and Space this weekend (July 9, 2005). Come see it!
In November, a project was unveiled by IBM and United Devices in partnership with an advisory board from across the global medical community. This project, called the World Community Grid , is hoping to become the largest distributed computing resource to date. The group is non-profit, and the goal of this project is to contribute to the greater good of medical research.
The current project they are working on is broad based research that will, they believe, one day lead scientists to cures for all sorts of diseases ranging from malaria to HIV/AIDS. I am no scientist, but the project looks really interesting.
I would like to encourage people to check it out, and consider joining the effort. The whole idea is to make use of resources that are currently going to waste, and thus it should have no impact at all on your life or computer if you just leave it running in the background. I have done all the fact finding I can, and this looks to be as legit as it gets. Your mileage may vary.
