About me: Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Sebastian Rivera, and I am from a small city in Southern California called San Jacinto. I love the out doors, the beach, the desert, camping, fishing, hiking, and pretty much anything that involves some sort of physical activity. Traveling to Japan is a passion of mine, I love Japan and can't wait to return. It's actually the place where I received my nickname SabyYama. Last time I was there, their was a Sumo Wrestling Tournament, and I really wanted a Sumo Name. I christened myself SabyYama. It is really just my tag with the Kanji 山 (yama). I Cant wait to return to the Land of the Rising Sun, because the love of my life is waiting for me there and her name is Izumi. If you hear me speaking Japanese on my show their is a pretty good chance, I am saying something to Izumi, or her family.

I am a Computer Science Major, and an Art Studio Minor. I have always been passionate about art, and Graffiti Art in particular. During my Junior year of college I began to take photographs with my DSLR camera, and haven't been able to put the camera down since. This is my senior year at Drew University, and I am so glad to have spent the last 3 years of my life on the East Coast. When I first came to Drew I knew nobody, and now I have friends from all over the world. It really has been a great life so far, and my journey is just begininning.

It's probably time that I start promoting my radio show. The name of my weekly radio show is DJ Saby 山's Modern Mix. It's on Mondays from 9 pm-10 pm, and when I play music I tend to play, but am not limited to playing, a mix of 90's music, alternative rock, r&b, rap, folk, classic rock, 80's, contemporary Christian, and contemporary Japanese music. This year I want to bring a new element into the mix, and try to make my own mash-ups. I am a total noob to the concept of mashing up songs, but I have always wanted to try it out. For those of you who don't know what a mash-up is, it is a song that basically takes two songs, and creates this new "mash-up" song from the two base songs. My adventurous spirit couldn't settle down with just playing music on the radio so now I will be creating my own mixes. For a couple of weeks I will just be doing some on air mixing, having fun, but nothing to crazy. As soon as I get the hang of mashing up songs, you can count on me to be creating my own mixes. So if your not too busy on Monday nights tune in to my show and just have fun! I am ready to finish this year strong, and ready to take on the challenges that my last year of college will dish out.
