A. Johan Noordsij (M.D., State University of Leiden,
Netherlands) is Professor of Psychiatry (Affiliate) in the Caspersen
School of
Graduate Studies. Since 1967, he has
served Drew
University
in the M. Div. and D. Min.
programs, teaching courses in Pastoral Counseling, Family Life, and
Psychology
and Religion. Since 1960, Professor
Noordsij has maintained a practice in psychiatry and psychoanalysis in Summit, New
Jersey.
During
the last two decades his main area of study, teaching, and writing has
been
Jacques Lacan and post-modernism. In
addition, he teaches courses in basic concepts of the practice of
medicine.
