Dr. Chris
Apelian earned his B.A. in mathematics and chemistry at
Rutgers University in 1988. In 1993 he completed a Ph.D. in mathematics
at New York University's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and
then joined the
Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Drew
University. He has
published papers in the applications of
probability and stochastic processes to the modeling of turbulent
transport. His other interests include the foundations and
philosophy of mathematics and physics.
Dr. Steve
Surace joined Drew University's Department of Mathematics and
Computer Science in 1987 after earning his Ph.D. in mathematics from
New York
University's Courant Institute. His mathematical interests include
analysis, mathematical physics and cosmology. He is also the
Associate Director of the New Jersey Governor's School in the
Sciences held at Drew University every summer.
