Description:

Close reading
and discussion of the novel in its socio-historical and literary contexts.
·
Studying the
language of fiction as it was used by Cervantes in extending contemporary
narrative boundaries.
·
Comparing
critical interpretations of the novel.
·
Understanding
position of DQ in western and world literature.
·
Examining the
proliferation of iconic renderings of DQ.
·
Evaluating
film versions of the novel.
Prerequisites: None; Satisfies
Spanish Major and Minor, Course-in-
Context and Literature requirement.
Requirements
