Schematic larynx – invented and constructed by Garyth Nair. This is a plastic schematic articulating larynx model for use in the voice lab and the classroom. Because students can see the action of the laryngeal cartilages in 3-D, the complex inner mechanics of the organ are easier to understand. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx

Voice Halo – an adjustable frame that sits on the shoulders of a singer. It has movable guides that alert the singer when certain physical problems, such as improper head position, develop. Thus, it is a feedback device useful in the correction of various physical problems that lead to vocal faults. Patent is pending. When the patent is granted, the model will be commercially produced and marketed. The device is currently being used in our voice studios. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx

Mouth Aperture Gauge – a simple device that provides the singer with a benchmark against which oral cavity openness can be visually judged. This simple feedback device greatly reduces the time necessary to wrestle the singer's vocal production away from speech norms. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx

Sternum Elevation Gauge – a device that allows the singer to track the elevation of the sternum throughout the inhalation/exhalation breathing cycle. This device is especially valuable in reverting sternal collapse in long phrases. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx
