This is my latest piece. I'm not really sure what to call it. It's painted, but it's not a painting, it has some prose but it's not a poem. All in all I consider it a triumph of woodworking but somewhat of a disappointment in the artistic venue. It _IS_ black with green lowlights, but I had too much lighting on it for these photos so it came out blue. Cést le vive. The text of the prose is available on request.

What you're looking at here is a Diener original. It's probably not worth the canvas it's painted on, but it's the first time anything mildly artistic I've done (teen angsty writing aside) has been slapped up in the public's face. I did this over winter break on a comission. The angle I took the picture of the painting at is off, so it may seem lopsided. I'm now one step closer to being a Toreador

The shield was done all through freehand, which is the only reason it's up on the site twice. I was going to make a stencil, but decided to test out my freehand abilities. Didn't come out too badly, considering. And no, that's not a dress.
