The Rumi Dance Award

Dance, when you're broken open.  Dance, if you've torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting.  Dance in your blood. Dance, when you're perfectly free. -- Rumi A new award, given by an anonymous donor in honor of Rumi, a 13th century Persian poet and trance dancer, will be given annually to an outstanding student choreographer.

The 2002 Rumi Award goes to Alison Fissel (CLA 2002) Congratulations, Alison!
