Missed Peer Workshop:

Absent on a peer review day? Or unable to complete a peer review in class because you were unprepared or had technology issues?

If you have missed a peer workshop, it is your responsibility to make up this missed assignment by either making an appointment with a Writing Center writing specialist or by having a peer complete a peer review of your draft, outside of class.  Completing this missed assignment will ONLY fulfill the requirements of the peer review assignment alone.  You will not be able to “make up” your class absence or the participation points you would have received for attending class and completing the peer review at its regularly scheduled time.

Your peer review make up assignment is due when you turn in your final draft.

If you plan to work with a writing specialist:

Schedule an appointment with the Writing Center.

Then, simply take this form with you and have the writing specialist you work with sign it.  Staple this form and your marked draft (the one you took to the WC) to the draft you submit to me.

You’ll need to have a peer complete a detailed review of your paper, using the peer review sheet we used in class.  (click>)  PEER REVIEW SHEETS

(Note* Not all peer workshop forms are available online. If you don’t find it, you’ll have to get it from me personally).  Print out the peer review sheet and have your reviewer complete it as they read your paper. After your peer has completed the review, have him or her sign this form. Staple this form and your marked draft (the one your peer reviewed) to the draft you submit to me. *Because I can not monitor an out of class peer review in session, I reserve the right to base your grade entirely on the detail/ comprehensiveness of your peer’s answers and markings.
