Cornell

E56e
Encyclopedia of religion, 2005.
A scholarly, fifteen-volume set, with articles generally written by experts in the field. Recommended sources are listed at the ends of articles
Grove dictionary of art online, 1999+
Full-text electronic encyclopedia of art, with extensive illustrations and bibliographies of recommended sources.
  xreferPlus
A collection of electronic reference books, primarily dictionaries. Useful for definitions of terms and other quick look-ups.

Sources for Books:
To locate books, begin with the recommended sources on your class's bibliography. Check the sources listed at the ends of books or articles for additional recommendations. Then go to the Drew Library Catalog (http://catalog.drew.edu/) to see if we own the books you're after. Also use 'Keyword' searching in the catalog to locate additional material.

Sources for Articles:
To find articles other than those listed in the bibliographies of recommended books or articles, you'll need to check some journal indexes. The large general indexes the Drew Library provides have full text of about half of the articles indexed. More specialized indexes, with subject focus, do not provide the full text of the articles. To find out how to determine if Drew owns or has access to a specific journal, use the Finding Periodicals guide at http://depts.drew.edu/lib/guides/findperiodicals.php

ProQuest Direct
A broad, general index, about half full-text, similar to Academic Search Premiere. Use "Advanced Search," which is - paradoxically - easier than "Basic. "  (Actully, this is frequently the case!)

Academic Search Premier
This broad index locates articles on a wide range of topics in approximately three thousand journals, and provides full text for about half of them.

Art Abstracts 1984+
Indexes, but does not provide full text of major art journals.

ATLAS Full Text Plus
The major index for religion. Don't let the 'full text' plug fool you - only about fifty journals and magazines have full text in this database.
