BRS ANNUAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES, Saturday, June 6, 2015 I. CALL TO ORDER. Chad Trainer, chair, BRS board of directors, called the 2015 annual meeting of the BRS board of directors to order at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 6, 2015 in room IIIS, Arts Building, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. Peter Stone was host of the meeting. BRS DIRECTORS PRESENT: Board members in attendance were Chad Trainer (chair), Michael Berumen, Nicholas Griffin, Kevin Klement, Bernard Linsky, Tim Madigan, Ray Perkins, Jr., Alan Schwerin, Peter Stone, Russell Wahl and Thom Weidlich OTHER BRS MEMBERS PRESENT: Other BRS members in attendance were Giovanni de Carvalho, Landon Elkind, Zuzanna Gnatek, John Lenz, Karl Maris, Karen Perkins, Milan Souter NON-MEMBERS PRESENT: Non-members present were Anthony Simpson and his daughter Thom Weidlich was appointed acting secretary and took the minutes. II. REPORTS 1. APPROVAL OF THE 2014 MINUTES. Alan Schwerin moved, with Ray Perkins seconding, to approve last year’s minutes. The minutes were approved unanimously. 2. TREASURER’S REPORT. Russell Wahl moved, with Ray Perkins seconding, to approve the treasurer’s report. The report was approved unanimously. 3. BULLETIN REPORT. Michael Berumen gave the Bulletin report. He stated that current costs for producing the Bulletin were $1,000 to $1,400 per issue and that he would like to make at least one issue fully digital. Nick Griffin then moved, with Tim Madigan seconding, to allow Michael Berumen, at his discretion, either to have one issue of the newsletter a fully digital issue or to have all issues digital with members given the option to receive a print version, beginning in 2016. The motion was approved unanimously. III. NEW BUSINESS 1. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The following BRS members were nominated and elected or re-elected as executive officers of the BRS for the coming year:

Michael Berumen moved, with Peter Stone seconding, to hold next year’s annual meeting at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, hosted by Tim Madigan. The motion was approved unanimously. 3. Ray Perkins reported on the activity of the Book Award Committee and announced that this year’s winner of the book award is Gülberk Koç Maclean for Bertrand Russell’s Bundle Theory of Particulars. 4. Michael Berumen moved, with Russell Wahl seconding, to increase student dues from $25 to $30. The motion was approved unanimously. (Limited-income dues remain at $25.) IV. ADJOURNMENT. The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 pm.

Saturday, June 6, 2015 I. CALL TO ORDER. The 2015 annual BRS members meeting was called to order Saturday, June 6, 1015, at 1:50 pm at Trinity College by outgoing BRS president Alan Schwerin. BRS MEMBERS PRESENT. Alan Schwerin (acting chair), Michael Berumen. Giovanni de Carvalho, Landon Elkind, Zuzanna Gnatek, John Lenz, Bernard Linsky, Karl Maris, Karen Perkins, Ray Perkins, Jr., Milan Souter, Russell Wahl and Thom Weidlich NON-MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: Anthony Simpson and daughter II. NEW BUSINESS Michael Berumen proposed, with Russell Wahl seconding, the following motion, which was approved unanimously: that items (4), (6), and (8) of Article 5, Section 8 (Chapter Membership) be deleted, and, as a consequence, that items (5) and (7) be renumbered to items (4) and (5), respectively. III. ADJOURNMENT. The Society meeting was adjourned at 1:50 pm.
