The Young Man Hudson

Crow, in the foreground,
with the ubiquitous tennis ball, and Hudson explore the straw laid down
at the beginning of mud season. This was taken on March 3, 2001. Hudson
had turned 8 months of age on February 23. You can see that he's bigger
than Crow, but his full size doesn't hit you here. He's a big boy. Crow,
who will be three in April, is my petite and athletic beauty. She's matured
into the German Shepherd everyone wants to own (pardon the scratch on her
pretty nose - we're hoping it will disappear entirely when it's fully healed.)
Hudson helps his dad lay straw to keep the mud down. We will remember Winter
2001 for its long mud season.
