The Boulder Valley, also known as the Valley of the Moon, is the heart of the Lady's power. The map below shows some of the points of interest within the Valley.
This is the main entrance to the Dark Lady's realm. She holds her Unseelie Court here in a midnight black grotto, the Dark Lady herself seated on a throne carved from a decaying stump. The woods hide her whispering subjects. Only the most powerful and confident can come here and return. The Dark Lady's court is no place for the weak of heart.
This building is what once was called John Twofeathers' Trading Post. For centuries, John was the guardian and caretaker of the Valley. Now, Elizabeth has taken that role. Since she has done so, she has also taken residence here, and remodeled the building, transforming a cheap trading post into a comfortable house and artists' retreat.
Up the steep canyon side from the Retreat is the sacred grove of the Lady. This is the place most sacred to her in all of her lands, and from this grove it is easiest to contact her. All official ceremonies and rituals for the Lady take place here, and those who wish to seek audience with her can come here as well.
The shallow wind cave located here is the entrance to the Mountain King's Court. His court is the Seelie Court for the Valley, but it is only slightly less dangerous to visit than that of his counterpart, the Dark Lady. A gatekeeper waits here in the cave, and only those who negotiate entrance can get in.
